The kids and I went to the park today with an old friend of mine from back when we were in the University wards. Joleane has two kids, Logan (above and below) and Taylor. The boys had fun running around, climbing on things, hanging off things, playing with sticks and playing in the sand.

Logan and Taylor going down the slide.
Maddy had fun sitting in the grass, eating sticks and dirt. Yum!

Nixon was always calling out, "Watch me! Watch me!"

It was my brother Cameron's Bday last weekend - the big 27. Wow we are getting old. He and his family came down for the big celebration. I am finally posting those pictures. I had to work that day but everyone else had a fun day at the park.
Cousins Bryton and Briggy, along with Nixon are getting pulled on something...
Cousins Kymry, Adael, and Nixon are watching something - not sure since I wasn't there.
Maddy is looking pretty happy after eating a little bit of food, her favorite thing to do!

We did it! We got a trampoline. It took forever to convince Chris because he thought it was way to dangerous for the kids. I grew up with a trampoline and the 5 of us never got hurt. Some of my best memories were playing games on the tramp, sleeping on the tramp, or doing the whole summer/water/sprinkler on the tramp thing. So we HAD to get one. This actually has a safety net around it now which makes it even better. I go and sit on there with Maddy and let her crawl all over the place. Nixon has really enjoyed playing on it with his cousins (and Aunt Candice), as you can see in the picture above!
Nixon and Maddy have had a lot of really sweet moments lately. This being one of them. At times Nixon just has to kiss his little sister and if he does it gently she loves it as you can see in the picture. She LOVES him. She just giggled and giggled while he was kissing her on the trampoline.
My brother-in-law, TJ, was kind enough to spend 2 hours just setting up the net with Chris (not quite -but is seemed like that long!)
We went to the coast last week with my sister, Candice and my friend Lori. It was 3 moms with 6 kids and we had a blast. Unfortunately, because I was outnumbered I only took a couple of pictures, all of Maddy. The kids loved the beach. We attempted to fly a kite (each of us). THat didn't last too long with such young children. But we watched our kids run all over the beach, play in the sand and water. It was great. Maddy just loved it - it was her first time (besides as a newborn) at the coast. Overall it was a great day!

My brother, Colby, and his wife, Ginny! Don't they look great together? It was a great day. I was so happy to see them get married and see them so happy together. It brought me back to that same day for Chris and me almost 11 years ago! Wow time has flown! It was a quick weekend trip. Having 2 little kids made it soooooo exciting as well.:) No naps 2 days in a row was CRAZY!!!! However, it was totally worth it. I was able to see my youngest brother married in the temple and was also able to see lots of family I hadn't seen in awhile (being all the way out here). And by the way, we love Ginny!
It was extremely windy that Saturday and very chilly! You can see my sister, Candice, holding her son Briggy, along with my dad, Ginny and Colby, my mom, my sister Cheslie (with Adael) and me. Chris & Nixon are right behind me. My brother, Cameron and my sister-in-law, Rhiannon are next to Chris.

Gotta have the family picture! Nixon said the most hilarious things during this trip. When we were returning our rental car, one of the employees was waiting for us to get all our luggage out of the car so he could clean it. Nixon, completely serious and just trying to make conversation says, "Hey dude, what's up dude?" It was so funny. I have never heard him say that before. When we were getting off the plane, Nixon ran ahead of us before we even had a chance to grab him (that is kind of how the whole weekend went - Nixon with no naps is NOT a good listener). I finally caught up with him at the gate with the pre-boarders for the next flight. They were all in wheelchairs and he was asking them if he could drive them.

We have also been teaching Nixon to spell his name (first and last). He spells his first name really quickly when you ask, but when we asked him to spell his last name he would say, "I can't spell my last name until I get to be a lot bigger, like Dad." We knew he knew it, but he refused continually telling us not until he was a bigger boy. So finally we got him - we asked him how he would spell his last name when he got bigger. He said, "I'll spell it M-o-o-n-e-y"

Maddy is really moving around a lot. Crawling and cruising everywhere. She uses Nixon's radioflyer walker wagon pushing it around the living room. When she gets to the wood floors in the kitchen, Nixon hops in for a ride. It is hilarious to see this little baby pushing Nixon who is almost 3 and a lot bigger than her!
